Fortune favours the brave when it comes to slam bidding and that was certainly the case for Corinne Cole and Sheila Henry on Thursday evening. Congratulations on bringing home not one, not two, but three slams – which was two more than anyone else! Corinne and Sheila must be early contenders for the coveted and prestigious Slam Trophy.

If you haven’t done so yet, and can commit to either playing or helping out please let any committee member know. Next Saturday afternoon, 3rd August, Bassingham and Heighington Bridge Clubs will have a presence at Bassingham Show. If you can help (e.g. by playing a few hands of Bridge) for an hour or so, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to several members who have already volunteered. We will have a couple of tables in a gazebo on the field (weather permitting).
