BBC Competition Results

Thanks to all those people who took part in the “Three Tiered” Competition. The winning position for the cryptic quiz was keenly fought – in fact the final position was “triple locked.”

All twenty clues were solved – but not by the same person, so the final result was a triple tie with nineteen and a half points out of twenty:

Chris Pickering

Sandra Braithwaite

Tony & Jean Tyler

Runners up with nineteen points were Diane Sharpe and Pat Lucas

The winner of the Lockdown Anecdote was Alan Timmis with his piece entitled “New Best Friend.” (This is an extract from his latest book “Covid in Glory.”) Runner up was Tony Tyler.

The winner of the third section – a lockdown limerick – was Sarah Hassnip, with Lesley as runner up.

Prizes will be despatched by Securicor asap.

Opening the files below should show you the quiz answers and the winning anecdote and limerick entries.
