Avoiding a squeeze

If, from the title, you were expecting an in-depth analysis of defensive discarding, then I’m sorry to disappoint! This is about an all together different sort of a squeeze.

On the Thursday evenings of 3rd October and 5th December our duplicate Bridge sessions will be held in the Tower Room, as the Hammond Hall is not available to us. I know that there is at least one league game organised for next Thursday (3rd), but these two dates provide an ideal opportunity to get League and Knock-out fixtures played and, at the same time, reduce our numbers in the Tower room where the maximum capacity really is nine tables. So – Captains – could you please have a look at your scheduled fixtures (on the club website) and try to get some matches organised. Andy
