Following on from yesterday evening I feel, as Chairman of your committee, that I need to explain why the decision was made to offer a lighter afternoon tea at Sunday’s event.
At previous events some players have queried whether a full afternoon tea was necessary when some members have a Sunday lunch prior to the event or return home to a cooked meal afterwards. This was discussed at our recent committee meeting and eventually the decision was made to try having a break with just tea, coffee and cake. The committee realises that events such as these are important contributors to the Club’s friendly and social ethos and we hope that this trial decision will not impact that.
